Kotu Pakoda

Ingredients:   Method:

1 cup Kotu ka atta (Buckwheat flour)
3 medium Potatoes
1/2 tbsp. black pepper powder
1/4 cup finely chopped Coriander leaves

salt to taste
Oil for deep frying

 

 

Boil the potatoes till half cooked.

 

Mix the flour, salt, pepper and coriander in a bowl really well.


Add water and make a smooth batter of creamy consistency.


Cover and keep aside for 15 minutes.


Peel and slice the potatoes into thin slices.
Heat oil for deep-frying in a pan over medium heat.


Dip few slices of potato into the batter and cover completely.

 
One at a time, put each slice of batter-coated potato into the hot oil. put more until they float in oil without touching each other. Fry both sides until brown gray and crisp.


Serve hot.
